In manufacturing plants, power inspection, mold & fixture management, and auto-parts applications, a large number of assets are made of metal. When ordinary UHF adhesive RFID tags are attached to metal surfaces, radio signals get reflected and absorbed, resulting in drastically reduced reading range or even complete read failure. This is one of the primary obstacles for enterprises deploying RFID projects.

Anti-metal RFID tags adopt special antenna structures, ceramic substrates and isolation layers to counteract radio-frequency interference caused by metal, delivering stable long-range reading performance. They are essential hardware for the Industrial Internet of Things. Two mainstream categories are available: flexible anti-metal tags and rigid encapsulated anti-metal tags.

Flexible versions are thin and lightweight for pasting on sheet-metal cabinets. Rigid tags are encapsulated with PPS or ABS materials, reaching IP67/IP68 protection grades. They resist high-low temperatures, vibration and corrosion, and can be mounted via adhesive backing, screws or rivets for molds, motors, construction machinery and power transmission equipment under harsh working conditions.
